Quartzite

Quartzite is a nonfoliated metamorphic rock, composed almost entirely of quartz. It usually forms from the metamorphism of sandstone, converting into quartzite, through heating and pressure usually related to tectonic compression within orogenic belts. This material is very hard, making it a perfect option for a kitchen countertop!
