How to remove scratches/stains on honed stone

Please Note:

• For honed marble/Limestone or Travertine only
• Do NOT use on polished stone

You will need:

• An abrasive powder (Comet cleanser, Bon-ami or Bars Keepers friend)
• A scour pad (Green Scotch-Brite is recommended).

Directions:

1.) Wet the affected area

2.) Sprinkle powder over wet area

3.) Using scour pad, mix the water & powder in a circular motion. This will require a little elbow grease, but not too much. You may need to add more water or comet to achieve a paste consistency.

4.) After scrubbing approx 2-5 minutes, rinse the treated area & dry the stone. If the imperfection still exists, repeat the process with another mix of Comet and water. This process can be repeated as needed until the imperfection is no longer visible. You should only have to do this process once, maybe twice.

5.) Once you are satisfied with the outcome, you’ll want to re-seal the area using an Impregnator sealer.
