Have you ever wondered what the difference between a top mount and a under mount sink is? The visual difference is just that the top mount is installed literally on top of your countertop; so you can see the lip of the sink sitting on top of your counters. Where as the under mount is installed underneath your counters. So its easier to clean, just wipe and viola. There is no lip that will catch food/liquid, like that of a top mount sink.
