In Washington state the most common thickness you’ll find is 3cm. However, if you’re needing a 4″backsplash, or a slab on the wall; you can ask your fabricator if they can gauge it down for you. They would then apply a fiberglass backing, for extra stability during transportation. They will also rod the stone with fiberglass or steel rods for extra strength.
